We Need YOUR Views, Opinions and Memories !

Hawick.Comze wants to know what YOU want in the town.  For far too long its "Aye Been", the ancient enemy of any changes in the town.  We need to lose the Aye Been mentality and replace it with what its "Gan' ti' be".

We want to make Hawick a better place, to regain the Crown of the Queen o' a' the Border and bring back the prosperity and philanthropy which once flourished here.

Email your stories, pictures and ideas for fundraising, projects or causes to support.    The only caveat attached is that projects or funds must benefit the Commonty of the Town and People of Hawick.

Volunteer For Hawick
Saturday, 07 July 2007 09:54

The Hawick.Comze Community Core Team and Working Group members are volunteer developers, designers, administrators and managers who have worked together to take make Hawick.Comze a better place, and indeed the the town.

As the Project is still in it infancy, we hope to attract more people who are as passionate about Hawick and the Region as well.  Volunteering isn't all about standing up the Lawrie Bridge to make sure the Fun Runners are headed in the right direction, all day in they abysmal weather we tend to have, its about much more than that.  It is about sharing information which may be lost forever to generations to come.  We hope to record this for the benefits of out descendent, so that they can look back in a hundred years and say "Michty me, how times have changed".
